Laurel Mountain Instruments
Mary Matarainen has been in the woodworking business since 1979 and has been making dulcimers for 13 years for a well-known company in Connecticut. Since their move to another state, Mary has decided to continue doing what she loves best: making instruments, repairing, and refinishing. Her promise is to provide the best customer service possible and to provide the highest quality of products. (Note: I own three of her mountain dulcimers, and they're exceptionally beautiful, both in workmanship and voice.)

Ruby Hollow Band
Ruby Hollow's lineup of longtime Chico multi-instrumentalists, songwriters all, includes Dave Cowan, Jo Chavez, Alice Peake and David Bilinski. They aptly refer to Ruby Hollow's collective style as Hot Pogo Folk Music. "We don't stick to one genre, and it's a delicious dilemma," says Chavez. "We go from country to traditional stuff to South American to contemporary covers, like a kid on a pogo stick hopping around for the fun of it."  I have heard them play a number of times and love their music! They've just released a new CD, "Sun Still Shines."

Standing in Balance
Earlene Gleisner
was guided to Reiki in 1983 after searching for a simple "hands-on" healing method to use during her registered nursing career. She has been a Reiki Master since 1988, offering sessions and classes. Along the way, she discovered a need for personal and community ceremony and became a Universal Life Church Minister. Her religious basis is non-denominational, and her spirituality is deeply rooted in Native American philosophy and ceremony. Earlene has published three books, the latest being her first novel, "The Marriage Bundle," which was released in December 2010.
